Mentimeter is an interactive presentation and polling tool that enhances audience engagement through real-time participation via smartphones or other devices. Presenters can create slides with questions, polls, quizzes, and interactive elements, while participants can respond immediately. Responses are displayed in real-time through word clouds, bar charts, or rankings, making it ideal for presentations, classes, and workshops. This tool is commonly used to boost engagement and gather instant feedback or insights from audiences. Application Requirements:
- 1. Eligible Applicants: EMI or English teaching faculty from all schools and disciplines are eligible to apply.
- 2. Implementation and Registration Period: From now until December 31, 2025. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum limit of 500 participants.
- 3. Review and Notification: The Center will review applications based on the content of the teacher's application form and its relevance to EMI teaching implementation. Results will be notified via email.
- 4. Teachers accepted into this project must complete a feedback form (link will be sent separately via email). They will be included in the Center's EMI teaching talent pool to facilitate future EMI teaching resource sharing, experience exchange, and collaboration, serving as an important reference for the Center's future evaluations.
Workshop: The Center will co-organize software training workshops with Mentimeter (workshop registration link). Only those who complete the synchronous online workshop will receive a certificate of participation from the Center. Those who cannot attend can watch the recorded video.
